How to set up BYOK
Step 2
Create an API key in your provider's dashboard (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or xAI).
Step 3
Add the key in the PromptDC Desktop app (macOS & Windows), on your PromptDC account page for Chrome, and in each editor extension you use. Then pick your provider and model.
Step 4
Use BYOK for unlimited enhancements through every profile and Action in the desktop app across any app, browser, IDE, and terminal (Claude Code, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, Grok). In VS Code and Cursor extensions, use Simple or Structured output in the editor's AI chat panel.
