About PromptDC
A small company that makes one product: select text in any app, press a shortcut, get a rewritten version back. Founded in 2024 in Greece by Panagiotis Visilias. Still one engineer. Still independent. The same person who ships the app reads the support mail.

Why it exists
The text you select is often a first draft. Vague. Missing context. Missing constraints. That is true of a prompt, an email, a Slack reply, a social post, or a commit message.
The app sits in the gap between what you meant and what you typed. You select the text you already wrote, press a shortcut, and get a clearer version back. You review it. You decide whether to use it. The product never sends it for you.
There is no product team behind a ticket queue. Features exist because they are used. Downloading is free. Enhancing is not, because the rewrite is a real model call. Plans are on pricing. If something breaks, write to help. Every message is read.
What we make
The same rewrite in three places you already work. A prompt in a terminal. An email. A Slack reply. A post. Same account on every surface.
Desktop app
macOS and Windows. Rewrite selected text in every app, including browsers like Safari and Edge, apps like Slack, Mail and Notion, and terminals running Claude Code, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI or OpenCode. Review the result, then Replace pastes it without pressing Enter.
Chrome extension
Any text box on the web, including ChatGPT, Claude, Gmail, Docs, LinkedIn and X. It rewrites editable fields in place and copies read-only results. Unlike the desktop app, it does not need Accessibility permission. It uses all the same profiles and shortcuts.
IDE extensions
VS Code, Cursor, Windsurf and other editors. It rewrites the prompt in the editor AI chat panel, whichever chat extension you use, and never touches the file you are editing. Choose the target agent in the sidebar, then enhance with a shortcut before you send.

Since late 2021 I have been building software with AI models. The models got better every month. The results only got better when the prompt did. The bottleneck was never the model. It was how the request was written.
In 2024, tools like Cursor, Lovable and Bolt each wanted prompts in a slightly different shape. I was tired of rewriting the same thought for every tool, and tired of burning credits on “fix this” loops. I wanted to type the way I actually think, then let something turn that into a clear instruction the model could act on.
That is PromptDC. I still design it, ship it, and answer the mail. If you write to the company, you are writing to me.
I built it because one click should be enough to get the result you asked for.
